Wertz Autokrane GmbH & Co. Transport KG has added a Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2 mobile crane to its fleet, enhancing its capacity to handle loads between 90 and 150 tonnes. The five-axle crane was chosen for its high performance and advanced Liebherr LICCON3 control system.
Timo Axmacher, authorised signatory at Wertz, explained the decision: “The new 110-tonne crane fills a gap between our 70 to 90-tonne models and our larger cranes over 150 tonnes. This range has been in demand in our region for years.”
The LTM 1110-5.2 features the LICCON3 control system with improved software, faster data processing, and a modern touch display. Its flexible ballast options allow it to switch between different transport configurations, making it adaptable for various job requirements. “This versatility allows faster approvals and quicker readiness for diverse jobs,” said Axmacher.
The crane replaces an older model and will be used for both client projects and in-house operations, including scrap recycling and demolition. Wertz, a family-owned company since 1921, plans to further expand its fleet with the addition of an LTM 1250-5.1 next spring.
