United Heavy Lift, based in Hamburg, has expanded its environmentally friendly F900 Eco-Lifter fleet with the addition of the UHL FABLE, the 19th vessel in this series. Launched on July 15 at a ceremony in Hamburg’s Baakenhöft Terminal, the UHL FABLE highlights the company’s commitment to sustainable shipping.
The UHL FABLE, like its sister vessel UHL FRESH, built at Shanghai’s CSSC Hudong shipyard, features state-of-the-art technology and an IMO Tier III certified engine, significantly reducing emissions. It also supports climate-neutral operation with biodiesel fuel.
The vessel’s maiden voyage carried rotor blades for wind turbines from Tianjin and Dongzhao to Cuxhaven, reinforcing United Heavy Lift’s role in the renewable energy supply chain. With a fleet of 24 heavy lift vessels, the company is well-positioned to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly transport, particularly in the wind power sector.
