Unveiled at Bauma 2022 in Munich, Goldhofer’s new »FT SERIES« heavy-duty modules have proven their worth in 2023, receiving over 350 axle line orders. Two notable projects highlight the versatility and reliability of this transport system.

Prangl 002

In April 2023, Prangl GmbH used the »FT SERIES« to move a 50-ton track geometry inspection car for the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). The 47-meter long, 135-ton rig was maneuvered through Linz’s city center at night with ease, thanks to the series’ pivot-mounted 2+4 combination and rail vehicle deck. Prangl’s capital outlay was reduced by utilizing an existing loading deck. The return trip involved reversing 300 meters in tight spaces, made possible by the »FT SERIES«’s ± 60° steering angle and low loading height.

Hackl Spezial-Transporte GmbH began using the »FT SERIES« in mid-2023. Their ten-axle crawler deck combination, initially configured for 90 tons, was upgraded to 110 tons. In November 2023, Hackl transported a 100-ton Sennebogen 870e Hybrid material handler from Straubing to Bremerhaven using a 4+6 combination with an excavator boom recess module. The series’ adaptability and quality ensured safe and efficient transport.
