Hyster will showcase its power solutions for high-capacity equipment at stand G20 during TOC Europe 2024 from June 11th to 13th. Highlights include integrated lithium-ion power technology for high-capacity forklifts.

“Ports and terminals are under increasing pressure to electrify, balancing productivity goals with sustainability targets,” says Lucien Robroek, President Technology Solutions for Hyster. Our high-capacity electric equipment combines proven designs with the benefits of an electric powertrain, delivering high performance with zero tailpipe emissions.”

Hyster’s electric forklifts, with capacities up to 18 tonnes, feature integrated lithium-ion batteries that can be opportunity charged during operator breaks, maximizing operational uptime without compromising battery life.

Committed to helping customers achieve clean power solutions, Hyster is leading pilot projects such as a hydrogen fuel cell-powered Laden Container Handler in the Port of Los Angeles and a hydrogen fuel cell-powered ReachStacker in the Port of Valencia, Spain. Future projects include zero-emission battery electric terminal tractors for APM Terminals and a hydrogen fuel cell-powered empty container handler and terminal tractor at Hamburger Hafen und Logistik. Additionally, Hyster offers the HVO 100 (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) option for certain diesel equipment to reduce emissions for those beginning the transition to electrification.

Niek Willems, Leader of Business Development, Global Ports and Terminals for Hyster, will elaborate on these advancements in a session at the TECH TOC theatre on June 11th at 16:30, titled “Tackling the Challenges of Net Zero Equipment and Infrastructure.”
