Sara Forsberg Appointed Chief Technical Officer at Scania

Sara Forsberg, currently serving as manager for Vehicle Development at Scania R&D, has been named Chief Technical Officer and Head of Brand Identity Development, effective May 1, 2024. She will join Scania’s Executive Board, reporting directly to Christian Levin, President and CEO of Scania and TRATON GROUP.

Forsberg brings over two decades of experience at Scania, having held various roles within Research & Development since joining the company in 2001. Her expertise includes vehicle development, modularisation, and validation, with her most recent role being acting manager for Vehicle Development in Södertälje since 2023.

In her new role, Forsberg will lead Scania’s Brand Identity Development (BID) organization, driving the development of Scania’s product roadmap to deliver sustainable solutions efficiently. Leveraging the unified TRATON Group R&D structure, she aims to maintain Scania’s unique brand identity while ensuring value creation for customers worldwide.

Christian Levin, President and CEO of Scania and TRATON Group, welcomes Forsberg to the Executive Board, praising her technical prowess and leadership as instrumental in enhancing Scania’s premium sustainable solutions.

Sara Forsberg, born in 1976, holds a Master of Science in Ergonomic Design and Production from Luleå University of Technology, Sweden.
