Engineered Rigging has bolstered its rental fleet with the Holmatro Ring Climbing Cylinders, offering a significant lifting height of up to 23.6 inches (approximately 60 cm)—far surpassing traditional hydraulic cylinders. These portable, ergonomic cylinders start at under 12 inches retracted (approximately 30 cm) and boast a lifting capacity of 100 tons, all while weighing a mere 50 pounds (approximately 23 kilograms) and featuring a compact footprint.

The design of these cylinders eliminates the need for stacking wood or filler blocks, streamlining the lifting process. With a stroke of 4.7 inches (approximately 12 cm), they can safely lift and mechanically secure loads, making them perfect for various applications.

These cylinders are particularly suited for challenging locations with limited access, including low-height bridge lift operations, bridge bearing replacement, and lifting large or heavy industrial components such as transformers. Each set comprises four double-acting aluminum cylinders, stacking rings, insert blocks, and a fork accessory for safe placement of the stacking rings.

By adding a split flow pump, operators can lift or lower components into place with all points synchronized, ensuring safety and accuracy. Mike Beres, vice president of Engineered Rigging, commented, “With its elevated lifting height, the Holmatro Ring Climbing Cylinder is the ideal choice for projects with tight timelines and limited access. We are thrilled to bring this innovative solution to the US equipment rental market.”
