Develon, formerly known as Doosan Construction Equipment, hosted its premier European Dealer Conference in Valencia, Spain, marking a significant stride forward since its rebranding last year. The event, themed “ONWARDS 2024,” gathered 161 attendees, including 116 representatives from Develon’s European dealers across 23 countries, alongside executives from HD Hyundai Infracore in Korea and various company managers.
Mr. Seunghyun Oh, CEO of HD Hyundai Infracore, set the tone with a keynote address celebrating Develon’s accomplishments post-rebranding. He emphasized the company’s robust performance, highlighted by new product launches, facility expansions, and a burgeoning dealer network in Europe. Mr. Oh also outlined Develon’s innovative technologies shaping the future of the construction industry and discussed the global market outlook and strategic direction.
The conference spotlighted collaborative efforts and recognized outstanding dealer performance in 2023 through various awards. Among the recipients were dealers from Poland, France, Iberia, the UK, Finland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands.
Beyond business sessions, the event fostered camaraderie with a gala dinner and a regatta sailing event along the Valencian coast, promoting team-building and motivation among participants.
Since the rebranding, Develon has been actively expanding its presence in Europe. Recent developments include the establishment of a European Training Centre in Nantes, France, and the initiation of a new company-owned store in Germany slated for opening in late 2024. Additionally, plans are underway to relocate Develon’s Parts Distribution Centre from Germany to Belgium by the second half of 2024.
Under the theme of ONWARDS, Develon’s European Dealer Conference showcased the brand’s commitment to building on its rich legacy spanning over 80 years. With a focus on developing innovative technologies and solutions, Develon remains dedicated to its role as a global leader in the construction equipment industry.
