Eiffage, in collaboration with eight architectural firms, has won a €2.54 billion contract from Société du Grand Paris to design and construct a section of Line 15 East of the Grand Paris Express. The project encompasses the excavation of 17 kilometers of tunnel, construction of 15 rail structures, 2 entrance structures, railway tracks, path facilities, and various electromechanical equipment.
The consortium, featuring Architecturestudio, Ar.thème Associés, fbcc, BIG-Silvio D’ASCIA Architecture consortium, LA/BA, VIGUIER, and Wilmotte & Associés, will also build six new stations, develop Champigny Centre station, construct an operations center in Rosny-sous-Bois, and undertake property development projects in Bondy and Le Perreux.
In a commitment to environmental sustainability, the consortium plans to reduce the project’s carbon footprint by using low-carbon concrete and installing fiber-reinforced concrete segments. Additionally, 15 hectares of green space will be landscaped throughout the project.
Socially responsible, Eiffage and its partners have pledged 1,272,000 working hours for social employment and allocated 25% of revenue to small to medium-sized companies.
Eiffage Construction, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, and Eiffage Rail will leverage their expertise in the project, set to commence after a 15-month design phase, with completion expected in 2031. This contract reinforces Société du Grand Paris’s confidence in the Eiffage group, which has now secured 35 contracts for the Grand Paris Express, showcasing its ability to manage large-scale projects in sustainable mobility.
