Renault Trucks is introducing a fresh look for its urban and suburban range of trucks, with a particular focus on electric models. The new design takes cues from both the manufacturer’s Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) and Heavy-Duty lineups, bridging the gap between the two worlds. The range includes the Renault Trucks D, D Wide, C 2.3, D Wide LEC (low entry cab), and Renault Trucks E-Tech D, D Wide, and D Wide LEC. Additionally, a host of safety enhancements have been incorporated to protect drivers and other road users.
Renault Trucks’ design teams have given the D & D Wide range a facelift to create a seamless visual connection between their Heavy-Duty vehicles and LCVs. The introduction of full LED headlights has brought a fresh C-shaped signature, inspired by the automotive industry, establishing a direct aesthetic link with commercial vehicles. The D & D Wide models also adopt design elements typical of the brand’s Heavy-Duty range, including a new upper grille and a distinctive “π” shape embossed on the front. Moreover, the radiator grille allows hauliers to proudly display their own visual identity.
For the electric versions of the Renault Trucks E-Tech D, D Wide, and D Wide LEC, the front is fully painted, including the grille, creating a distinct visual differentiation. The grille is accentuated with a sleek “E-Tech” band, highlighting its gradient graphic styling. And, as a final touch, all the vehicles proudly feature the brand’s new logo.
Renault Trucks recognizes that its D, D Wide, C 2.3, D Wide LEC, Renault Trucks E-Tech D, D Wide, and D Wide LEC trucks often operate in crowded city centers where truck space is increasingly limited. To alleviate driver stress and enhance safety for both drivers and other road users, Renault Trucks has integrated new safety features into its urban and suburban range.
The placement of grab handles and rear-view mirrors has been adjusted to improve visibility, making it easier to navigate narrow streets. A network of radars and cameras installed around the vehicle provides real-time information and alerts the driver when necessary, further contributing to safer and more manageable driving.
The trucks have also been equipped with features like automatic tire pressure control, lane departure warning, a lane-keeping system, and speeding alerts to significantly enhance on-road safety. Additionally, new rear-view mirrors have been added to improve visibility and driving safety.
