Milplan, a Brazilian construction and industrial services company, bolstered its fleet with the addition of two Liebherr LRT 1100-2.1 rough-terrain mobile cranes and an LTR 1100 telescopic crawler crane, marking their first partnership with Liebherr. These machines will be deployed for a wide range of projects, including construction, electromechanical assembly, pipeline work, and maintenance shutdowns in mining, steel, energy, and oil and gas industries.

Milplan’s CEO, Leonardo Mendes, stated: “We sought powerful and versatile cranes to enhance our operational agility and strength. Our aim is to deliver maximum availability, quick setup times, and utmost safety to our clients.”

Equipped with VarioBase outrigger technology, these cranes can achieve higher load capacities with adaptable outrigger positions, maintaining constant load monitoring for safety. The adjustable cabin provides operators with optimal visibility, and the cranes are equipped with comprehensive monitoring systems to ensure safe operation during telescoping or counterweight adjustments.

For assembly and maintenance tasks requiring swift setup, the Liebherr LTR 1100 telescopic crawler crane, with a 100-tonne capacity, fits the bill. This crane can also transport lifted loads, enhancing operational efficiency. It combines the best features of crawler and telescopic cranes, offering robustness, high capacity, versatility, and quick assembly.

Rene Porto, Divisional Manager of mobile and crawler cranes at Liebherr Brasil, expressed pride in delivering these machines to Milplan and anticipated a lasting partnership. “For us, it’s a source of pride to deliver these machines to Milplan. We are confident that this is the beginning of a very long-lasting relationship.

Milplan, with over 40 years of experience in industrial construction, operates nationwide in Brazil and serves prominent companies in the mining, energy, oil and gas, and steel sectors. Their fleet, which now includes the Liebherr cranes, comprises 25 cranes and over 100 other large-scale equipment, facilitating their extensive project portfolio.
