Heading the JV as General Manager is Chris Nicholson, who brings over 35 years of experience in global freight forwarding and project logistics, having worked with both Clemenger and the global Bertling team previously.

Bertling specializes in global project logistics and transport engineering solutions, while Clemenger excels in general freight forwarding and in-house customs clearance services in Australia. Clemenger will contribute its local logistics expertise, partner network, and access to modern transport vehicles and equipment, while Bertling will bring in its global office and supplier network, modern IT infrastructure, and extensive project expertise in Australia and neighboring ASPAC countries.

One of the JV’s key assets is its in-house customs consultancy and clearance services, enabling the company to offer comprehensive door-to-door services, advice, and documentation to clients locally and globally.

Both Bertling and Clemenger have a long-standing history of collaboration in Australia, having been agency partners since 2015. Michael Clemenger, Managing Director of Clemenger, expressed pride in this partnership and its potential to expand their service offerings and diversify their portfolio.

Colin MacIsaac, CEO of Bertling Logistics, emphasized Australia’s importance as a market for Bertling and the team’s enthusiasm for the country’s new business opportunities. He praised Clemenger’s skilled team, high-quality services, and extensive local network, expressing confidence in the JV’s ability to become a leading player in the Australian logistics market and effectively address the logistics needs arising from the ongoing energy transition.
