Jandt Kranvermietung is expanding its lifting capabilities with the addition of a Liebherr LTM 1400-6.1, its first mobile crane in the 400-tonne class.
The six-axle crane will become the largest machine in the company’s fleet, which currently includes two LTM 1250-5.1 mobile cranes. Jandt plans to deploy the new unit across industrial, infrastructure and energy transition projects, as well as overhead line construction.
“With loads becoming ever heavier, we have reached the limits of our current crane fleet in some areas,” said Jens Lübeck, Managing Director of Jandt Kranvermietung. “This step marks a logical progression for us and our customers alike.”
The company highlighted the LTM 1400-6.1’s compact dimensions, lifting capacity and self-assembling Y-guying system as key factors behind the investment. Liebherr’s LIKUFIX quick coupling system is also designed to reduce assembly work and crane set-up times.
“With the LTM 1400-6.1, we can carry out operations involving heavy loads more flexibly and with shorter lead times,” said Sven Diercks, responsible for technical matters at Jandt.
The family-owned German company operates 18 mobile cranes, four loading cranes and four Liebherr mobile construction cranes.
