AAL Shipping has been named Best Shipping Line – Project Cargo at the 2026 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards in Shanghai, reinforcing its position as a leading carrier for heavy lift and project cargo transportation in the Chinese market.
The award recognises AAL’s continued investment in specialist project cargo services, operational flexibility and fleet development to support customers moving oversized and high value cargoes between China and global destinations.
As China remains a major manufacturing and export hub for industrial equipment, renewable energy components and infrastructure projects, AAL has continued to expand its multipurpose liner and chartering services to meet growing transportation demand. The company has also experienced increasing cargo flows from China to Europe and the United States, further strengthening these trade routes.
Jack Zhou, General Manager of China at AAL Shipping, said, “Winning this award is a tremendous honour and particularly meaningful given the importance of the Chinese market to global project logistics. China continues to be a key growth market for AAL and a critical hub for many of our customers’ supply chains. This recognition reflects the commitment of our teams and the confidence our customers place in AAL to deliver increasingly sophisticated project cargo and heavy lift solutions safely, efficiently and reliably.”
The company has continued to build expertise in the renewable energy sector, transporting almost 3,000 Battery Energy Storage System units from China during 2025 across 29 voyages. This experience, combined with its specialist heavy lift capabilities and growing fleet, enables AAL to support increasingly complex global project cargo movements while responding to sustained demand in the breakbulk market.
