Dutch stevedoring, warehousing and breakbulk specialist Supermaritime has announced a major management change and a significant expansion of its logistics footprint in Vlissingen.

Effective January 1, 2026, Milan Tevel will assume the role of General Manager Supermaritime Nederland. He succeeds Martien Burger, who has been a key driver of Supermaritime’s growth and regional expansion over the past decades. Tevel has been with the company since 2012 and brings extensive internal experience and a forward-looking strategy for the Dutch operations.

Supermaritime offers stevedoring, cargo handling, global freight forwarding and supply chain services for breakbulk shippers and carriers worldwide. The company also operates warehouse facilities in the port of Vlissingen, including an Offshore Supply Base operation.

In line with its long-term ambitions in the region, Supermaritime is investing in a new-build warehousing and office complex, increasing its total capacity by nearly 13,000 m². The new space totals 12,787 m², including 10,956 m² of warehouse space, 521 m² of office space and 1,310 m² of mezzanine area. The site is positioned as a new logistics hub with strong connectivity by road, water and rail.

Peter van der Laan, CEO of Supermaritime Group, confirmed the company’s continuity in service and expressed full confidence in Tevel’s leadership.

To support a smooth handover, Burger will remain with the company as an advisor over the coming year.
