A.P. Moller – Maersk has announced a series of changes to its regional leadership structure, effective from 1 January 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen execution and adapt to an evolving global market.
Ditlev Blicher has been appointed Regional President for North America. He joined Maersk in 2020 and has led the Asia-Pacific region since then. Succeeding him on an interim basis, Scott Andrew Elliott, currently Chief Financial Officer for the Asia-Pacific region, will take on the role of interim Regional President for Asia-Pacific. Elliott also joined Maersk in 2020.
Charles Van Der Steene will assume the position of Regional Managing Director for the India subcontinent, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) region. Van Der Steene joined Maersk in 2011 and most recently served as Regional President for North America. Richard Morgan, who has led the IMEA region since 2019 and has been with Maersk since 2003, will be leaving the company.
In Europe, Guillaume Sauzedde has been appointed Regional Managing Director. He joined Maersk in 2024 as Head of Logistics & Services for the Europe region. Aymeric Chandavoine, who has led the Europe region since 2023 after joining Maersk in 2020, will also be leaving the company.
Antonio Dominguez will continue in his role as Regional Managing Director for Latin America.
Commenting on the changes, CEO Vincent Clerc said the strong performance of Maersk’s regions in recent years has created a solid foundation, enabling the company to reconfigure leadership to deliver with greater speed and focus in a rapidly changing market.
