Volvo Penta is introducing Volvo Penta Co-Pilot, an innovative suite of intelligent productivity solutions developed for the off-highway sector. Designed to improve operational efficiency, machine performance, and fleet management, the platform leverages advanced vehicle control technologies to support both OEMs and end-users.
A key component of Volvo Penta Co-Pilot includes a state-of-the-art infotainment and human-machine interface (HMI) cluster. This system can integrate a surround-view camera for enhanced visibility and safety, and a customizable home display featuring widgets for lighting and climate settings, productivity KPIs, service information, and entertainment.
Built on proven Volvo Group technology, the robust platform enables flexible scaling of new features and interfaces as customers’ needs evolve. Co-Pilot provides operators with a centralized ecosystem of tools to improve machine and site performance, connectivity, and real-time decision-making.
The system’s available functionalities span integrated machine control, tire pressure monitoring, stability assistance, and perception systems to increase situational awareness. Additional smart features — such as operator coaching, high-precision positioning, and load assist on-board weighing (OBW) — are designed to boost productivity while supporting safe operations.
“In line with our collaborative, partnership approach at Volvo Penta, we will work with customers to tailor the solution to meet their specific needs,” said Emil Andersson, Product Planning Industrial, Volvo Penta. “This means they can customize the platform and add to it as their requirements change, making it a future-proof solution.”
