Potain has introduced the MCR 505 J25, a luffing jib tower crane designed to meet the growing demands of complex and urban construction projects worldwide. The new model delivers exceptional lifting power, with a maximum capacity of 25 t across jib lengths ranging from 30 m to 60 m. At its maximum 65 m jib, the crane offers a 17 t lifting capacity and a 4.7 t tip load, ensuring strong performance even at extended reach.
Engineered for height-critical environments, the MCR 505 J25 achieves an extended free-standing height of 77.2 m, thanks to the combination of C809 and KMT850 masts. This reduces the need for multiple tie-ins, improving on-site efficiency and accelerating deployment. Its compact 15 m out-of-service slewing radius further enhances suitability for tight urban workspaces.
The crane is equipped with full frequency-controlled mechanisms and Potain’s VISU+ smart monitoring system for smooth, precise load handling and real-time operational data. Optimized load curves ensure consistent lifting performance across a wide range of applications.
Designed for global compatibility, the MCR 505 J25 supports both 50 Hz and 60 Hz power supplies. Its adaptive power control allows operators to reduce energy consumption during low-demand phases, helping sites with limited power infrastructure.
With modular jib design, automated gear ring lubrication, and integrated operation logging, the model simplifies installation and maintenance while meeting rigorous FEM standards.
“The MCR 505 J25 reinforces Potain’s commitment to helping customers build faster, smarter, and stronger,” said Lv Weidong, Product Manager at Potain.
