A total of nine Liebherr tower cranes supplied by dealer Niederstätter AG are driving construction progress at two major venues for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy — in Predazzo and Milan. In Predazzo, the cranes are working on the new ski jumping hills set in challenging Alpine terrain, while in Milan, they are proving indispensable for building the ARENA MILANO, where space is at a premium.

At the Centro del Salto in Predazzo, the project covers around 30,000 square metres and includes competition hills, training facilities, and amenities for athletes and media. Liebherr top-slewing cranes including the 340 EC-B, 370 EC-B 12 Fibre, and 550 EC-H are being used for their precision and lifting power, ideally suited to the site’s complex logistical needs.

In Milan, the ARENA MILANO—set to host the Olympic ice hockey competitions—relies on several Liebherr cranes, among them the 340 EC-B, 370 EC-B 12 Fibre, 280 EC-H, two 205 EC-Bs, and a 285 EC-B. Their compact design and performance make them the perfect fit for the dense urban environment.

As a dealer, we are proud to collaborate on projects of this scale,” said Manuel Niederstätter. We share with our partners the passion and responsibility to create spaces that inspire.”

Daniela Niederstätter added: “Our decades of experience and customer-focused service ensure maximum efficiency on major construction sites like these.”
