Allelys has announced a major leadership transition as the company continues its strong growth trajectory and responds to rising demand across the UK heavy lift and specialist transport market.

As part of its long-term strategy, Richard Beardmore has been promoted to managing director, taking responsibility for day-to-day operations and the delivery of the company’s objectives. David Allely will move into the role of chairman, focusing on strategic oversight and ensuring the business remains firmly rooted in its family-owned values.

The move reflects Allelys’ substantial growth in scale and capability over the past five years and aims to strengthen its position within the UK market.

“It’s essential that Allelys remains a family-owned and sustainable business,” said David Allely, chairman. “We’re proud to be highly regarded within our field. Richard has demonstrated all the qualities of a managing director, and I’m confident he will drive the company forward into its next phase of growth.”

New managing director Richard Beardmore commented: “I have huge respect for David and am proud to build on his legacy. During my time as commercial director, I’ve focused on growing responsibly and enhancing our service offering. I’m excited to expand that focus across the entire business.”

He added, “With continued investment in our people, fleet, and capabilities, we’ll ensure Allelys continues to deliver excellence for our clients.

Both leaders have assumed their new roles with immediate effect.
