Konecranes has announced that President and CEO Anders Svensson will be leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity. Svensson, who has led Konecranes since 2023, will continue in his role until his departure on July 19, 2025.
“Anders has significantly contributed to Konecranes’ success over the past two years, and I want to warmly thank him for that already at this stage,” said Pasi Laine, Chairman of the Board of Konecranes. “Under his leadership, the company has updated its strategy, delivered strong results, and created value for its shareholders. I’m pleased to continue our cooperation over the coming months.”
Reflecting on his tenure, Svensson expressed pride in the company’s achievements. “It has been a privilege to lead Konecranes alongside its exceptional Leadership Team and with the full support of the Board of Directors. I’m very proud of the progress we’ve made together with all employees. I remain fully committed to my role until July. Konecranes is in a strong position, and I’m confident its dedicated team will continue executing the company’s strategy with determination.”
The company has confirmed that the search for Svensson’s successor will commence immediately.
