AAL Shipping (AAL), a project heavy lift carrier, has been awarded Silver in the Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards for its exemplary Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting.
Recognized in the category of Asia’s Best Sustainability Report (SME), AAL stands out as the only multipurpose project heavy lift cargo carrier shortlisted for an award at the event.
Felix Schoeller, AAL Director and Head of its Sustainability Committee, expressed pride in the company’s sustained efforts towards sustainability and ethical practices, evident across its global operations.
AAL’s 2022 Sustainability Report, which served as the basis for the award, highlighted various aspects of the company’s operations on both land and sea. It not only addressed the environmental impact of sailings and cargo operations but also emphasized the carrier’s diverse team and support systems.
Developed in alignment with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, AAL’s report sets a benchmark for comprehensive sustainability reporting, aiding organizations in understanding and quantifying their economic, environmental, and social impact.
