Volvo Penta has doubled its industrial engine sales in North America since CONEXPO 2023, highlighting strong demand for high performance power solutions across construction, mining and digital infrastructure sectors.

The milestone will be showcased at CONEXPO 2026 in Las Vegas, where the company is presenting its expanding portfolio under the theme Power Your Ambition. Volvo Penta said growth has been driven by demand for reliable power across off highway equipment as well as emerging applications such as data centres.

The company’s offering spans fuel efficient combustion engines, battery electric drivelines, energy storage systems and engines compatible with alternative fuels including natural gas and renewable diesel. At the event, Volvo Penta is highlighting its G17 natural gas engine, designed for use with conventional and renewable gas and targeted at fast growing sectors such as data centre construction.

With global data centre development accelerating, Volvo Penta sees rising demand both for construction phase power and long term backup solutions. The company said its technology supports the full lifecycle, from powering heavy equipment to delivering standby energy systems once facilities are operational.

Volvo Penta is also promoting its broader ecosystem of connected services and lifecycle support, including digital monitoring tools that help customers optimise uptime and maintenance planning.

The company said its growth reflects close collaboration with OEM partners and customers, particularly in sectors such as underground mining, where it has secured a significant global market share over the past decade and a half.

At CONEXPO, Volvo Penta will exhibit alongside other Volvo Group brands, reinforcing the group’s focus on integrated solutions that support productivity, energy transition and evolving industrial power demands.
