deugro USA has completed the delivery of more than 6,600 cbm of equipment for a major industrial project in the central United States for client Technip Energies, overcoming severe weather and remote site challenges.

Beginning in 2023, deugro’s Materials, Turnaround and Construction logistics management division coordinated nearly 50 shipments, including furnace modules, cooling towers, large pump skids and a range of container types. The cargo originated from multiple countries including Korea, China, Italy, the UK, India, Germany and Mexico, and was transported using a mix of ocean, air, breakbulk and domestic trucking solutions.

Most shipments arrived via the Port of Houston, where they were transloaded onto specialized trailers for final delivery. The project required detailed planning, including road surveys, escort services and strict delivery sequencing aligned with construction schedules, equipment availability and changing weather conditions.

The remote site and harsh winters added significant complexity, with heavy snowfall, strong winds and freezing temperatures affecting transport windows. deugro mitigated risks through close coordination with on site material handling teams, regular status meetings and weekly tracking updates to maintain alignment among stakeholders.

Approximately 180,000 kilometres of trucking were completed to deliver all components. Despite limited carrier access to the remote location, the team secured suitable transport partners and maintained continuous on site presence at ports and the project location to ensure smooth operations.
