Konecranes has introduced its new X-series crane and S-series low headroom hoist to the Australian market following a launch event at its Smithfield facility. The introduction follows the full rollout of the X-series in EMEA and phased launches in other regions.
Designed to be compact, safe and efficient, the X-series crane offers lifting capacities of up to 20 tonnes when paired with the S-series hoist. The crane delivers smooth, precise load handling and features TRUCONNECT remote monitoring, providing real-time insights into crane usage and condition. This supports improved maintenance planning, enhanced safety and optimized productivity. The platform is also future-ready, with over-the-air software updates planned to enable new features without hardware changes.
The S-series low headroom hoist stands out for its compact design, excellent approach dimensions and stepless lifting with a load-dependent motor, helping reduce cycle times. Customers can choose between a lightweight synthetic rope or traditional steel wire rope, depending on application requirements. Integrated Smart Features such as Hook Centering, Follow Me and Snag Prevention enhance safety and efficiency, while a trolley-mounted safety light improves visibility for nearby personnel.
Sustainability is a key element of the new range. Energy-efficient motors, inverter lifting technology and optimized components reduce energy consumption, wear and maintenance needs. Developed under a Design for Environment approach, the X-series is engineered to minimize environmental impact across its entire lifecycle while delivering long-term performance for Australian industry.
