CM Labs Simulations has announced the acquisition of GlobalSim, a Utah-based developer of advanced training simulators, in a move aimed at strengthening simulation-based workforce development worldwide.

The acquisition brings together two established players in operator training simulation, united by a shared focus on improving productivity, safety and workforce readiness across heavy equipment and port operations. By combining GlobalSim’s market knowledge with CM Labs’ simulation technology and engineering expertise, customers will benefit from a broader portfolio of next-generation training solutions designed to reduce training costs while enhancing operational performance.

As part of the transaction, CM Labs expands its presence in the United States with the addition of GlobalSim’s facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. The location adds manufacturing capacity and reinforces CM Labs’ ability to support customers across North America.

This is a natural evolution for two organisations with decades of proven outcomes in safety, precision and performance,” said Robert Weldon, CEO of CM Labs.By uniting CM Labs and GlobalSim, we are strengthening our ability to deliver quality, value and long-term support to port customers around the world.”

Brad Ball, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at GlobalSim, noted that both companies have driven innovation in the sector for nearly two decades. “Bringing our teams together allows us to combine technology, engineering talent and industry expertise to deliver training systems that will continue to advance the simulation industry,” he said.
