Apollo Tyres has achieved an A- leadership rating from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for both Climate Change and Water Security, marking a major milestone in the company’s sustainability journey. The rating places Apollo Tyres among a select group of global companies demonstrating strong environmental transparency and performance.

The company began disclosing through CDP in 2020, aligning its environmental strategy with internationally recognised frameworks including the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). CDP is the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform, used by around 25,000 companies globally in 2025 to report impacts related to climate change, water security and forests.

Apollo Tyres’ CDP performance has shown consistent improvement over time. The company received its first Climate Change score of D in 2020, expanded its disclosures to Water Security in 2023 with a B- rating, and in 2025 achieved an A- rating across both categories, reflecting strengthened governance, risk management and environmental leadership.

Commenting on the achievement, Rajeev Kumar Sinha, Chief Manufacturing Officer at Apollo Tyres Ltd, said the rating highlights the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and its progress toward a low-carbon, water-secure future.

The A- rating recognises Apollo Tyres’ efforts to enhance environmental governance, advance emissions reduction initiatives, set science-aligned targets and engage stakeholders across its value chain.

Apollo Tyres has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and plans to disclose near-term absolute emissions reduction targets as part of its long-term decarbonisation roadmap.
