Drydocks World has officially broken ground on its new head office complex in Dubai, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing transformation and reinforcing its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Set for completion in the first quarter of 2027, the 44,779-square-metre facility will centralise nearly 700 employees in a modern workspace designed to enhance collaboration and streamline operations. Built on a 13,390-square-metre plot adjacent to the existing shipyard, the new headquarters offers improved accessibility for clients and visitors, located just outside fabrication zones while maintaining strict security standards. Direct access from Jumeirah Beach Road will reduce congestion and provide a more efficient route into the facility.
His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, highlighted the project as a key step in the Group’s broader strategy: “Drydocks World’s new head office represents another important milestone in our transformation… we are investing in smart, sustainable infrastructure that empowers our people and strengthens Dubai’s position as a global hub for trade and innovation.”
Captain Rado Antolovic, PhD, CEO of Drydocks World, noted that the project demonstrates confidence in the company’s future and commitment to building a high-performance workplace that supports collaboration and innovation.
Juan Carlos Sahdala, Group Chief Planning and Project Officer at DP World, added that the development is part of a wider initiative to create next-generation, technology-enabled and sustainable work environments across the Group.
