LGH, one of the world’s largest organisations dedicated exclusively to the rental of lifting and moving equipment, has opened its first dedicated location in France. The new facility, located in Dreux just outside Paris, represents a key step in LGH’s European expansion strategy and underlines its long-term commitment to providing safe, high-quality lifting solutions across the continent.
The Dreux base features a fully equipped warehouse offering a wide range of lifting and material handling equipment. Available for hire are hoists with capacities of up to 100 tonnes, gantries, hydraulic jacking systems, rigging gear including slings and modular spreader beams, and other heavy-duty lifting and moving systems.

The local team, led by experienced foreman Koffi Ahawo, will maintain LGH’s strong standards of service, safety, and technical excellence. He is supported by Account Manager Lorenzo du Burck, a seasoned professional in the French rental sector, as well as LGH’s multilingual rental desk and internal account management team. Together, they ensure customers across France receive the high level of support and expertise that define LGH’s operations worldwide.

The launch of LGH France will allow faster access to lifting equipment for contractors and industrial clients in key sectors such as infrastructure, ports, energy, and construction. As a member of the Union Française du Levage, LGH also reinforces its integration into the French lifting industry, working alongside local partners and organisations to uphold safety and quality standards.

Andy Mault, CEO of LGH Europe, commented: “LGH’s expansion into France is a natural progression in our international growth journey, following successful operations in North America and, most recently, Australia. France offers strong opportunities in infrastructure, ports, and energy – especially in the transition to solar and wind power – where quality service and dependable equipment are essential. With a well-developed lifting market and a strong regulatory framework for health and safety, we are confident our approach aligns perfectly.

LGH will continue to collaborate with leading French and international manufacturers, including Tractel, Kito Crosby, JD Neuhaus, and Modulift, ensuring access to a best-in-class equipment fleet. The Dreux facility is expected to serve as a springboard for further LGH expansion across Europe in the years ahead.
