EWA Group, one of the leading companies in heavy lift, transport, project logistics, and freight forwarding in Egypt, has reinforced its position as a key player in the nation’s infrastructure sector through its pivotal role in the Egyptian New Monorail Project — one of the most ambitious and transformative mobility developments in the country’s history.
Spanning over 100 kilometers, the twin monorail lines will connect Greater Cairo with the New Administrative Capital and 6th of October City. As the first of their kind in North Africa, these lines symbolize Egypt’s commitment to sustainable, smart, and interconnected urban transport.
EWA Group was entrusted with the complete logistics scope — from feasibility and route studies to execution — for handling, transporting, and positioning the massive monorail cabinets and support components. During the planning phase, EWA’s engineering teams conducted in-depth feasibility assessments and ground analyses to guarantee safe, efficient transport operations.
In the first stage, the company managed the internal movement of monorail cabinets within the manufacturing facility using advanced skidding systems, hydraulic jacks, and precision lifting equipment. This complex work required meticulous coordination and technical skill to ensure flawless positioning before external dispatch.
The second stage involved the overland transportation of components to job sites in 6th of October City and the New Administrative Capital. EWA deployed its fleet of hydraulic trailers and heavy-duty transport vehicles, supported by experienced engineers and rigging specialists. Each delivery was executed under strict safety and regulatory compliance, ensuring timely and damage-free arrival.
