Collett has officially launched a new power distribution warehouse in Sherburn in Elmet, North Yorkshire, expanding its total storage capacity to over 51,000 square metres. Developed in partnership with Wilson Power Solutions, the 2,735-square-metre facility will support the storage and movement of power distribution transformers and other specialist equipment.
Fully operated by Wilson Power Solutions, the warehouse enables efficient transformer storage while Collett manages daily transport operations between Wilson’s main facility and the Sherburn site. The company also oversees wider heavy-lift and specialist logistics services, ensuring smooth and reliable handling throughout the supply chain.
The new facility comprises two large bays with additional outdoor storage, overhead gantry cranes ranging from 5 to 20 tonnes, and a five-metre hook-to-floor clearance to accommodate oversized cargo. Equipped with four large roller shutter doors for easy access, the site benefits from excellent connectivity to the A1 motorway and features 24-hour CCTV monitoring, ample parking, and a sustainable, eco-friendly design.
The official launch was attended by Collett’s Director Sam Collett and Sales Director Mick Harland, alongside Wilson Power Solutions’ Head of Operations Jake Young and Marketing Manager Marek Skibinski.
