Leadership Transition at United Heavy Lift

United Heavy Lift (UHL) has announced that Managing Director Lars Bonnesen will step down from his role on December 31, 2025, following the sale of his shares to the United Shipping Group. In a related move, Christian Monsted has also sold his shares in UHL and will continue his activities within United Marguisa Lines.

The decision comes as UHL enters its next strategic phase, with a strong focus on newbuildings and further investments. Bonnesen has chosen not to participate in this journey and will instead dedicate his time to new projects outside the shipping industry.

Since joining UHL in 2019, Bonnesen has played a pivotal role in expanding the fleet, strengthening international partnerships, and consolidating the company’s position in the heavy lift and project cargo market. His leadership helped UHL navigate challenging market conditions and achieve significant global growth.

I am proud to have been part of United Heavy Lift’s journey since 2019. It has been a great pleasure to work alongside talented colleagues and partners,” Bonnesen said. “I look back with great satisfaction on what we have achieved together, and I wish UHL every success in the next phase.”

UHL management expressed gratitude for Bonnesen’s contributions, noting his energy, clear perspective, and ability to identify opportunities. The company emphasized that his leadership and commitment have left a lasting mark on UHL’s development.
