Volvo Penta has inaugurated a new training center in Nuremberg, Germany, designed to equip technicians with the skills needed to deliver top-level service across Central Europe.
Located in a revitalized industrial site in the heart of the city, the facility blends historic character with modern functionality. It offers immersive, hands-on training with real Volvo Penta engines and systems, ensuring participants gain practical expertise they can directly apply in the field.
The center provides dedicated spaces for both theoretical and practical courses, covering everything from core service skills to advanced diagnostics and emerging technologies. Tailored dealer training sessions will also play a key role in strengthening Volvo Penta’s regional service network.
The hub is led by technical trainer Michael Schubert, who joined Volvo Penta in 2024 with more than 15 years of industry experience. “With this center, we are bringing training to life,” he said. “It’s about giving technicians confidence, sharing best practices, and strengthening connections across our service community.”
Training programs currently focus on five-to-13-liter engines, with plans to expand to the full range up to the D17, alongside future modules in electromobility and connected solutions. Nuremberg’s central location ensures easy access for markets in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, and Czechia.
