DENZAI K.K. has announced a capital alliance with KOUNO Truck Corporation, one of Hyogo Prefecture’s leading heavy cargo transport companies. Under the agreement, DENZAI acquired 70 percent of KOUNO Truck’s issued shares, integrating the Himeji-based operator into the DENZAI Group. The move marks a strategic step in strengthening the group’s transport capacity, logistics expertise, and nationwide service network.

Founded in 1954 and headquartered in Shirahama-cho, Himeji City since 1968, KOUNO Truck has long been recognized as a trusted specialist in ultra-heavy and specialized cargo transport. The company has played a vital role in supporting the shipbuilding industry in Hyogo Prefecture, and now, through its partnership with DENZAI, is preparing to expand into new fields including onshore wind power and offshore wind port handling.

Kohki Uemura, President & CEO of DENZAI, emphasized that the alliance would significantly enhance the group’s transport capacity in western Japan, particularly in large-scale wind power projects. “We intend to leverage KOUNO Truck’s experienced personnel and extensive equipment lineup to generate mutual synergies,” he said.

Osamu Kouno, President & CEO of KOUNO Truck Corporation, highlighted the company’s longstanding commitment to safety and reliability in specialized transport. “Through this capital alliance, we are confident that leveraging the DENZAI Group’s network, resources, and technical expertise will enable us to deliver services of even higher quality and greater scale,” he noted. He added that the collaboration would help strengthen ultra-heavy transport capabilities and support infrastructure development not only in western Japan but across the country.
