Raimondi Cranes has signed a definitive agreement to acquire key lifting businesses from US-based Terex Corporation, in what is being described as one of the most significant deals in the industry in two decades.
Under Arada Industries, part of Arada Group, Raimondi will take over Terex Tower Cranes, Terex Self-Erecting Cranes, Terex Rough Terrain Cranes, and Terex’s North American service and support operation. Facilities in Fontanafredda and Crespellano, Italy, and Wilmington, North Carolina, will transfer, bringing around 250 employees into the Raimondi Group.

“This transformative move marks the largest acquisition in our history,” said Luigi Maggioni, CEO of Raimondi Group. “By integrating Terex’s range of cranes and service infrastructure, we create synergies that enhance our capabilities, broaden our portfolio, and accelerate our path to becoming a global lifting conglomerate.”
The acquisition expands Raimondi’s product lineup beyond tower and luffing jib cranes to include self-erecting and rough terrain models, while also strengthening its North American presence. Raimondi aims to leverage economies of scale through enhanced manufacturing and procurement efficiencies, while ensuring continuity for Terex employees and customers.

Simon Meester, President and CEO of Terex Corporation, commented: “We are pleased to reach this agreement with Raimondi, a company known for product innovation and customer service. Our cranes businesses will thrive as part of a global specialty crane manufacturer.”
Following completion, Raimondi’s workforce will total about 400 employees. The company is targeting $500 million in annual revenue by 2028. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approvals.
