Manitowoc, in partnership with long-standing Potain dealer NFT, has completed a multi-day safety campaign across major construction sites in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, engaging more than 450 workers.

The initiative brought together crane operators, engineers, and safety personnel to reinforce best practices and highlight Manitowoc’s ongoing support throughout the lifecycle of its cranes.

Among the visited projects was the Trojena Ski Village in Saudi Arabia, part of the ambitious NEOM development, where a Potain MCT 1105 and MCT 275 K12 are currently in operation. In the UAE, the campaign extended to high-profile sites including Sobha Hartland 2, Sobha One, the Binghatti Granada development in Dubai, as well as ADEK Riyadh Schools and Reem Hillz in Abu Dhabi.

Led jointly by teams from Manitowoc and NFT, the sessions included sales, service, and administrative staff who engaged directly with on-site crews. Discussions were based on the Potain Safety Handbook, focusing on crane audio and hand signals, establishing safe work zones, and reinforcing individual responsibility for site safety. Workers were encouraged to share feedback and recommendations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

“Being present on site is one of the most meaningful ways we can support our customers and the people operating our cranes every day,” said Jean-François Amet, Global Dealer and Development Director at Manitowoc. These sessions weren’t just about safety rules—they were about open dialogue, exchanging ideas, and strengthening trust.”
