Hiab has signed a major EUR 23.5 million frame agreement to supply specialised loader cranes for offshore wind parks, reinforcing its role in the global renewable energy sector. The three-year agreement runs until 2028 and marks a continuation of a longstanding customer relationship.
Deliveries of the cranes, starting in early 2026 and potentially continuing into 2029, will be aligned with the customer’s project timelines. The order intake will begin in Q4 2025 and be spread quarterly through Q3 2028.
The deal covers the supply of HIAB SWP cranes—custom-designed for offshore wind turbine maintenance. Engineered to operate within the nacelles of turbines, these cranes support vital servicing and part replacement tasks under challenging offshore conditions.
“This landmark agreement underscores Hiab’s commitment to creating pioneering solutions that power the future of sustainable energy,” said Alexander Gelis, Vice President, Sales & Product Management at Hiab. “Our cranes are specifically engineered for unmatched performance in the toughest offshore environments.”
Wind parks in the UK, Taiwan, and the U.S. are the first to benefit from the agreement, with future deployments planned in Germany and Denmark. This contract highlights Hiab’s growing role in enabling the global energy transition through smart, sustainable load handling technology.
