Seymour Whyte, the Australian subsidiary of Vinci Construction, has been awarded three major infrastructure contracts worth a combined €431 million (AU$773 million), strengthening its position in key Australian growth corridors.

In Queensland’s Gold Coast, Seymour Whyte will deliver a 4.4 km section of the Coomera Connector Stage 1 South, a critical new road link between Logan City and the Gold Coast. Valued at €229 million (AU$410 million), the project—commissioned by Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads—includes bulk earthworks, rock excavation, ground improvements, three bridge structures (including a 300-metre span over the Nerang River), new interchanges, and noise barriers. The project aims to alleviate congestion on the M1 Pacific Motorway and support rapid population growth in the region.

Further north in Moreton Bay, Seymour Whyte will upgrade a 1.1 km stretch of road and construct a 212-metre flood-resilient bridge over the North Pine River. The €48 million (AU$86 million) contract, awarded by the City of Moreton Bay Council, includes retaining walls, a signalised intersection, and upgraded utilities. Construction will commence in 2025 and conclude in 2027.

In Sydney, Seymour Whyte has secured a €154 million (AU$277 million) design-and-build contract from Transport for New South Wales for the westbound upgrade of the M5 Motorway. Scheduled to begin in 2026, the project includes a 1.3 km road upgrade, a new three-lane bridge, improved connections to Moorebank Avenue, and enhanced pedestrian and cyclist pathways.

These new contracts contribute to the VINCI Group’s strong performance in Australia, where it generated €1.4 billion in revenue in 2024, including €1.2 billion from VINCI Construction.
