Last spring, Cometto delivered a brand-new SPMT configuration to its new customer Gradito Oleodinamica in Sicily — a company renowned for exceptional heavy lifting, transport, and construction support services.
The delivery included an MSPE 6-axle module, an MSPE 4-axle module, and a powerful 202 kW power pack unit.
Gradito has now put the new equipment straight to work, handling a 148-ton tunnel boring machine (TBM) head for the Palermo–Catania high-speed railway project (Caltanissetta Xirbi – Nuova Enna section, Lot 4A).
Designed for precision and heavy-duty performance, the MSPE system’s electronic steering and high payload capacity make it the ideal choice for such challenging moves.
