pewag’s lifting brands, Load Monitoring Systems (LMS) and Modulift, have appointed Westcon Løfteteknikk (WCL) as their official distributor in Norway. The move supports pewag’s “Stronger Together” strategy, which unifies its below-the-hook solutions to better serve global markets.
“This is a natural evolution of an already strong partnership,” said Thomas Dietvorst, Segment Manager Lifting Solutions at pewag. “Westcon Løfteteknikk combines technical expertise with market insight and a strong customer focus, making them the ideal partner to support Norwegian clients with innovative products and local service.”
As part of the agreement, WCL now holds stock of LMS load cells and Modulift spreader beams, available immediately for purchase or rental in Norway. The inventory includes 6.5t to 55t load cells and MOD 6, MOD 12, MOD 24, MOD 34, and MOD 50 spreader beams, enabling customers to execute complex lifts safely and efficiently.
“We’ve worked closely with LMS and Modulift for many years,” said Tommy Nilsen, Sales & Marketing Director at Westcon Løfteteknikk. “Becoming an official distributor strengthens our ability to respond quickly and meet customer needs.”
To further support local clients, WCL is investing in an LMS by pewag high-precision calibration machine, capable of calibrating tension load cells from 3.25 to 55 tonnes with ±0.05% accuracy. This will allow WCL to offer full in-house calibration services by the end of the year, reducing downtime and transport costs.
