Felbermayr has acquired the Dutch company Jozef Hermans, further expanding its footprint in Western Europe. The acquisition includes four locations in the Netherlands, strengthening Felbermayr’s position in the industrial relocation and heavy transport sector.

Founded over 85 years ago and based in Venlo, Jozef Hermans is a family-run business with twelve employees, specialising in the relocation and assembly of machinery and production lines across Germany and the Netherlands. The company also operates three warehouses in Venlo, Baarlo, and Lomm. Jos Hermans, who has led the company since 2007, will remain as Managing Director.

The warehousing and machine assembly capabilities of Hermans, close to our Krefeld site, are a valuable addition to our portfolio,” said Horst Felbermayr, CEO of Felbermayr Holding. “We’re pleased that the entire team is staying on, ensuring continuity and expertise.”

The company’s modern fleet includes cranes, remote-controlled electric forklifts, telescopic hydraulic gantries, and custom-built tools capable of handling loads up to 1,100 tonnes, even in confined spaces.

Peter Stöttinger, Managing Director of Felbermayr Transport and Lifting Technology, sees strong potential in the synergy between Hermans and Felbermayr’s existing operations. “The location on the Dutch-German border and the equipment range perfectly complement our services. Integration is our focus, followed by joint growth plans.”

The acquisition, finalized on May 14, 2025, covers Hermans Werk B.V. and Hermans Estate B.V. “With access to Felbermayr’s European network, especially in Eastern Europe, we can unlock new opportunities,” said Jos Hermans.
