Palfinger Ibérica is set to relocate to Madrid’s Vicálvaro district, with construction beginning in late May 2025 on a new Sales & Service hub. Spanning 22,000 square meters, the €20 million investment will centralize Palfinger’s Spanish operations under one roof, including its main offices, service and installation centers, spare parts warehouses, logistics zone, and a 100-seat auditorium.
The move is part of Palfinger’s global strategy to strengthen its presence in key markets. “Southern Europe – especially Spain – is a core market for us due to strong infrastructure and tourism projects,” said Gerhard Sturm, Senior VP Global Sales and Service. “This new facility brings us closer to our customers and allows us to deliver tailored, integrated solutions.”
Once completed in 2026, the new Madrid site will employ around 120 people and serve as a centralized hub for growth, innovation, and customer support. Sustainability also plays a key role, with features like solar panels planned for the facility.
“This is a milestone for Palfinger Ibérica,” said Managing Director Jörg Schopferer. “With this new base, we’ll be able to deliver faster, higher-quality service and reinforce our leadership in Spain’s lifting solutions sector.”
