Japanese heavy lift specialist DENZAI K.K. has announced the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary in Kyiv, Ukraine—DENZAI Ukraine LLC—to support the country’s post-war recovery and energy infrastructure rebuilding.
The move follows increasing demand for large-scale lifting and transport services in Ukraine as major reconstruction projects begin, including wind farm construction and nuclear power plant renovations. DENZAI, known for its engineering expertise and heavy crane operations, aims to fill the current gap in local capabilities.
“In light of our global experience and the needs on the ground, we’re proud to launch a dedicated subsidiary to help rebuild Ukraine’s energy infrastructure,” said Kohki Uemura, President & CEO of DENZAI K.K. “Our partnership with local firm CRANES UKRAINE will strengthen our efforts to support high-impact projects.”
Oleksii Bondarenko, Commercial Director of CRANES UKRAINE, emphasized the strategic value of the collaboration: “This partnership will bring advanced technical solutions and international standards to Ukraine’s infrastructure development.”
Halyna Kukoba, the newly appointed Local Director of DENZAI Ukraine, added, “It’s an honor to support my country’s recovery. We are committed to contributing to Ukraine’s resilience and long-term prosperity.”
Prior to the launch, Uemura visited Kyiv at the invitation of Serhii Nahorniak, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, engaging in discussions with government and energy officials. The visit underscored Ukraine’s openness to international cooperation, with potential partners expressing strong interest in collaboration.
Ukraine’s state hydropower operator, Ukrhydroenergo, also voiced support for future Japanese investment, highlighting the importance of foreign expertise in revitalizing critical infrastructure.
