HD Hyundai XiteSolution (HDX), parent company of HD Hyundai Infracore and its Develon brand, has announced a strategic partnership with Gravis Robotics AG and Holcim Inc. to accelerate the development and deployment of autonomous construction equipment.

The collaboration focuses on implementing AI-powered autonomous technology across Holcim’s global operations, particularly in quarry environments. Key applications include autonomous truck loading, hopper feeding, stockyard management, and confined material handling—tasks that are essential for boosting efficiency and safety in challenging environments.

Gravis Robotics, a Swiss-based startup with over a decade of experience in construction robotics, will work closely with HDX to integrate its advanced solutions into Develon machinery. Holcim, a global leader in sustainable building materials, will provide real-world testing grounds and operational insights to support scalable deployment.

This initiative builds on Develon’s established Concept-X and Concept-X2 programs, and introduces the next evolution—Real X. This AI-driven system enables Develon’s smart crawler excavators to operate autonomously, remotely, or via traditional controls, offering unmatched flexibility for modern job sites.

The partnership aims to deliver commercial-ready autonomous machinery that improves productivity, enhances safety, and reduces environmental impact. By leveraging Gravis’s agile innovation and Develon’s engineering power, HDX hopes to fast-track autonomous tech tailored to European and global markets.
