Volvo Penta is improving its industrial services by changing how it works with dealers and OEM partners to meet customers’ needs worldwide. The company’s plan focuses on bringing dealers together, using digital tools, and providing service-focused support to be ready for the future.

By streamlining its dealer network, Volvo Penta partners with specialized dealers who have the technical skills, financial strength, and resources needed to offer top-quality service. “Our customers need more than an engine supplier—they need a long-term service partner who understands their industry’s challenges,” said Björn Säljö, Volvo Penta’s Industrial Head of Global Service Market. This approach ensures reliable support for both traditional diesel engines and emerging technologies like electrification and data-driven solutions.

At bauma 2025, Volvo Penta will highlight its move from selling products to offering complete service solutions. New service options include performance-based agreements to reduce costs and increase uptime, subscription models for predictive maintenance, and bundled services to maximize efficiency. “Our focus is on providing long-term value and helping customers stay competitive by using predictive analytics and connectivity,” said Judith Karl, Volvo Penta Industrial Service Market Manager for Central Europe.

The company’s service transformation centers on digital tools like IoT, digital twins, and real-time fleet monitoring. These technologies help reduce downtime, improve maintenance, and support long-term performance. Volvo Penta’s flexible service contracts also cater to electrified equipment and off-highway solutions, focusing on efficiency and sustainability
