Milplan, an industrial construction firm based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, is strengthening its fleet with the addition of a new Liebherr LRT 1130-2.1 rough-terrain crane. The 130-tonne machine will primarily support mining operations, offering high load capacities, versatility, and enhanced safety features.

Milplan, Liebherr’s first Brazilian customer, has strategically invested in the LRT 1130-2.1 to meet increasing demand in electromechanical assembly projects. “The growing demand for installation work was a key factor in selecting this crane,” explains Victor Lott, Head of Logistics at Milplan.

The LRT 1130-2.1 features the longest telescopic boom among all two-axle rough-terrain cranes worldwide. Its compact transport dimensions, large tires, and ability to move with the counterweight mounted allow it to perform efficiently across various job sites. “Its straightforward handling, automated support leveling, and extensive assistance systems ensure maximum safety and ease of operation,” adds Lott.

Milplan chose Liebherr due to its reliable machinery and exceptional local customer service. “Liebherr’s equipment consistently delivers quality and operational safety,” says Lott. With the addition of the 130-tonner, Milplan now operates the most powerful rough-terrain crane in its fleet, which already includes six other Liebherr models.
