The city of Milton Keynes, situated in Buckinghamshire, has renewed its partnership with Ringway, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction in the UK, for the maintenance and improvement of its road infrastructure. This significant contract will commence in September 2024, spanning an initial eight-year period, with potential extensions of two additional two-year terms.
Valued at approximately €29 million (around £25 million) annually, the contract encompasses routine and seasonal road maintenance, safety inspections, emergency response, and various road improvement projects. Ringway has been responsible for the upkeep of Milton Keynes’ extensive network, which includes 1,100 km of carriageways and 1,800 km of footways, since 2014.
Ringway’s expertise in road maintenance extends across the UK, where they manage long-term contracts covering more than 43,000 km of roads and 600,000 road equipment assets in numerous villages, towns, and cities. This renewed contract underscores Milton Keynes’ commitment to maintaining high-quality road infrastructure and ensuring safety and efficiency for its residents.
