Liebherr-MCCtec GmbH has ascended to the top 1% of companies worldwide in its industry, securing the EcoVadis gold medal for excellence in sustainability. This achievement reflects the company’s significant advancements in sustainability practices in 2023.
Key initiatives included the expansion of ISO certifications in occupational safety and information security across its four European sites and the establishment of new quantitative targets in its Corporate Responsibility policy, aiming for the highest standards by 2030.
“Receiving the EcoVadis gold medal again underscores our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility,” said Tatjana Grissemann-Peter, Manager Corporate Responsibility at Liebherr-MCCtec GmbH.
In 2023, Liebherr-MCCtec GmbH also published an extended report under the UN Global Compact, detailing its efforts in governance, human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption. The company has developed a greenhouse gas management and decarbonization strategy targeting 2030, which includes converting heating systems, electrifying its vehicle fleet, and using alternative fuels. Notably, 95% of the electricity at all four production plants now comes from renewable sources.
