Strictly Cranes, the exclusive agent for Raimondi Cranes, has sold two LRH174 hydraulic luffing jib cranes to Australian developer-builder ALAND. Ramey Alkhoshaibi, Founder and Commercial Director of Strictly Cranes, expressed pride in supporting ALAND, expanding their Raimondi crane fleet to seven models. These LRH174s mark ALAND’s first investment in this model, diversifying their range of luffers.
Deployed between August and September 2023, the two cranes are aiding in the construction of Archibald towers in Gosford, Brisbane’s northern waterfront city. The development comprises 323 residential apartments and penthouses, a 130-room hotel, and various food and beverage outlets.
Alkhoshaibi highlighted the LRH174’s advantages over traditional models, citing its seamless installation with the jib fully assembled at ground level in a single lift. He emphasized smoother movements, enhanced lifting capabilities, and improved safety features, especially in windy conditions.
With a maximum lifting capacity of 10t, the LRH174s were erected at a freestanding height of 84.5m and a jib length of 45m. Equipped with a 45kW hoisting gear and a drum capacity of 600m, these hydraulic luffers can lift at speeds of up to 190m/min.
The installation process involved close collaboration between Strictly Cranes, ALAND, engineers, and mobile crane subcontractors. Monthly onsite maintenance will be conducted by the Strictly Cranes team, including executing the external jumping procedure to reach a final height of 115 meters. The LRH174s will remain onsite for approximately 18 months until project completion.
