Bruns Schwerlast GmbH, based in Magdeburg, has expanded its crane fleet with the acquisition of three new Liebherr cranes last year. The latest addition is the LTM 1070-4.2, featuring ECOmode and ECOdrive for reduced fuel consumption and lower noise emissions. With a maximum lifting height of 65 meters when equipped with the folding jib, the crane is equipped with VarioBase support base for enhanced performance and safety. The active, speed-dependent rear-axle steering ensures high maneuverability, and the four-axle vehicle is immediately operational upon reaching the construction site due to on-road ballast carrying.

Replacing an existing LTM 1070-4.2, the new crane will be utilized for diverse projects, including concrete and steel assembly, prefabricated house construction, biogas plant repairs, and railway carriage repairs. Mario Naumann, a crane driver, commended the reliability of Liebherr equipment, particularly highlighting the LICCON2 control system and VarioBase®. Managing Director Frank Bruns emphasized the positive history of collaboration with Liebherr, citing top-notch service and spare parts availability as decisive factors in their purchase.

Bruns Schwerlast GmbH acquired a total of three Liebherr cranes last year, including an LTR 1100 and an LTM 1050-3.1, completing the trio. The Magdeburg-based company, with a fleet consisting of a total of seven Liebherr cranes weighing up to 250 tonnes, has been a satisfied customer of Liebherr for nearly 30 years since its founding in 1991.
