Online cargo platform Shipnext has joined forces with The Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents (FONASBA) to establish a safer and more reliable digital shipping community.

London-based FONASBA, founded in 1969, serves to protect and represent ship brokers and agents globally, promoting fair practices. With members in nearly 70 countries, FONASBA has consultative status with international organizations such as IMO, UNCTAD, UN/CEFACT, the World Customs Organization, and the European Commission.

Under the partnership, only FONASBA-approved ship brokers and agents will be listed in Shipnext’s Ports module. New FONASBA-approved companies will be promptly updated on the platform. Shipnext will also introduce a Standardized Port Disbursement Account Request Form, developed in collaboration with FONASBA, facilitating communication between Shipnext users and FONASBA agents for shipping transactions.

Alexander Varvarenko, Founder and CEO of Shipnext, expressed the significance of the exclusivity agreement, ensuring the highest quality agents on Shipnext’s Port pages. The collaboration aims to create a customized shipping platform and communication space for FONASBA agents to conduct business.
